Resurrection Symphony is a composition by Gustav Mahler. In Alain Platel’s 2016 performance Nicht Schlafen, we chose this music to end the show with a crazy 20-minute improvisation.
We enjoyed the challenge every night, experimenting the freedom of dropping our individual bodies, looking for a collective osmosis!
The new performance, Resurrection, is the journey that a bunch of ten young dancers reveal!
Each one represents a specific character chosen from different performances Alain has created throughout his career… They embody the ghost coming from the past to make their own exaltation!
