“Actress and theatre maker Lien Wildemeersch surprised friend and foe with her first own theatre project. Jackie was an immediate hit.”

For fourteen years, Lien immersed herself in the life and person of Jacqueline du Pré. All that time, she carried Jackie with her as a companion. The British cellist became her muse, her source of inspiration and she has since navigated through life with Jackie as her compass.
Lien can finally share the intense bond she built with the music — beyond the boundaries of death — with an audience. It is a bond that thrives on the importance of comfort and humor, an immense love of music and an unconditional lust for life. Jackie is therefore not a biography of Jacqueline du Pré, but a search for what connects us as human beings and what you can bear in the sometimes gruesome unpredictability of life.
